Governor Gordon Recaps Budget Session During News Conference

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon held a news conference Monday afternoon to recap the budget session of the Wyoming Legislature that concluded last week. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The 20-day budget session that began on February 14 came to a close late Friday night in Cheyenne. Governor Mark Gordon discussed the session Monday at a news conference and said in his opening statement that overall he was pleased with what was accomplished by legislators.
Gordon said the $2.8 billion biennial budget is $400 million less than the budget that was approved two years ago and the smallest budget for the State in a decade. The Governor also addressed American Rescue Plan Act funding.
Gordon also talked about vetoes on the budget and the ARPA appropriations bill.
We’ll have more from the Governor’s news conference in future stories.
