A Wyoming man who committed murder as a juvenile has died in prison.
The Wyoming Department of Corrections says 69-year old Louis Cosco died this past Wednesday (March 2nd), at the Medium Correctional Institute near Torrington.
In 1969, he was sentenced in Sheridan County to 4 consecutive terms of life in prison, for committing second degree murder.
He was a juvenile at the time.
Since then the Wyoming Supreme Court changed the law, ruling that juveniles can not be sentenced to life behind bars.
He was re-sentenced to serve 50-to-95 years.
Per WDOC policy an autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.
WDOC does not release protected health information.
