Ron RichterU.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) on Thursday condemned the invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces. Lummis issued a release stating that Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is wholly unacceptable, and Vladimir Putin and his cronies must pay for the loss of life and harm he is inflicting on the Ukrainian people. Lummis said that she’s proud to support the nuclear mission of FE Warren Air Force Base and have long opposed the New START Treaty with Russia that surrendered the country’s nuclear advantage by focusing the U.S. to disarm while allowing Putin to gain ground and she hopes we learn from this gross strategic error in the future.
Lummis is working with her colleagues in the Senate and with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to impose sanctions relating to the action of Russian forces, and to counter the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and other Eastern European Allies.

If only a WY GOP would also condemn the attempt to overthrow a legitimate election and prevent peaceful transfer of power in the US. Apparently our GOP supports efforts to manipulate who votes in elections, in order to win and shut out non party member. And as a bonus, nationally disregard the majority of US population. And though they say they’re patriots, this sure sounds more and more like the road to a single party state (like Russia, like China) – no problem for the WY GOP I guess who maybe just want to be winners.

If we truly are on the road to being a one party nation it’s due to Democrats general incompetence, arrogance, and “wokeness” far more than it is some Republican master plan to take over the country. Democrats have so alienated themselves from “flyover country” that it will be at least a generation before they’re competitive again.

Your response is typical of someone that doesn’t have the courage to stand for the correct principal of minding our own business. As you may recall, this mess is at least partially our responsibility since we removed the elected leader of Ukraine and put in a new leader of our choice. We do this routinely and it never works out for us or the targeted country. We are an arrogant, prideful empire in it’s death throes, mainly due to a dearth of leadership. Please come to your senses and back down from the saber rattling rhetoric that will only further cause unneeded death and destruction. Reading history would be a good place to start.

While I agree that this mess is partially our responsibility once Russia invaded Ukraine that became irrelevant. Putin had many avenues open to him that he could have used to check NATO expansion and he chose the worst one possible. The Ukrainian people have shown themselves to be more than willing and able to fight for their freedom which is far more than I can say for some of our other “allies”. So regardless of the mistakes of the past we have a moral obligation to give them every tool we can to throw the invader out.

Russia invaded the Ukraine because Biden is feeble and weak. Xi is stepping up its presence around Taiwan because Biden is feeble and weak. Biden has issued sanctions against Russia, but we are still importing oil from them according to blinken. Meanwhile team biden has frozen existing drilling leases on public lands, while oil prices skyrocket. Biden needs to resign.
