Troopers Drop Two in Cheyenne / Rockies Walk off Against the Padres / Big Horn Mountain Trail run Starts Tomorrow

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers dropped two at Post 6 in Cheyenne Wednesday night with Post 6 winning 9-5 and 11-2, the Troops continue the road trip this evening playing two in Laramie

They come home for a double header with Cody Saturday the first game will start at 1:00.

A couple changes to the Sheridan Jets and Cavalry schedules the Jets will play a rescheduled double header June 27th against Douglas and the Cavalry have added two dates June 21st and July 10th against Douglas.

BIG HORN MOUNTAIN TRAIL RUN – The 2021 Big Horn Mountain Trail Run is back week runners packet pick up takes place today and tomorrow.

They will have a 100 mile reception in Whitney Commons starting at 2:00 today there will be a welcome bash at Black Tooth brewing starting at 7:00.

The 100 mile race starts tomorrow morning at 9:00, bag pick up for the rest of the runners will take place tomorrow afternoon at the Best Western Sheridan Center and another get together at Black Tooth starting at 5:00.

The 52, 32 and 18 mile races all start Saturday with the finish and awards ceremonies taking place in Scott park in Dayton taking place in the afternoon.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – Pinch-hitter Charlie Blackmon singled home the winning run in the ninth to give the Rockies an 8-7 win over the Padres. San Diego wasted Fernando Tatis jr.‘s NL-leading 21st home run and lost for the 13th time in 17 games.
