Troopers hit the Road / Big Horn Mountain Trail Run Starts Friday / Four Sheridan County Youth Qualify for the National High School Finals Rodeo

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers are 19-12 overall and 1-1 in league play they head out on the road for games in Cheyenne and Laramie with double headers on tomorrow and Thursday then a quick turn around as they come back to Sheridan for home games with Cody Sunday at Thorne-Rider stadium that double header will start at one o’clock.

BIG HORN MTN. TRAIL RUN – The 2021 Big Horn Mountain Trail Run is this week runners packet pick up takes place Thursday and Friday.

They will have a 100 mile reception in Whitney Commons starting at 2:00 Thursday there will be a welcome bash at Black Tooth Brewing starting at 7:00.

The 100 mile race starts Friday morning at 9:00, bag pick up for the rest of the runners will take place Friday afternoon at the Best Western Sheridan Center and another get together at Black Tooth starting at 5:00.

The 52, 32 and 18 mile races all start Saturday with the finish and awards ceremonies taking place in Scott Park in Dayton taking place in the afternoon.

NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL FINALS RODEO – Sheridan county will be well represented at next month’s National High School Finals Rodeo in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Wyoming state rodeo just wrapped up and these are the Sheridan county qualifiers Tavy Leno made it in three events break away roping, goat tying and pole bending.

Cian Ahearn from Wyarno was the state Saddle Bronc champ and will represent Sheridan county and Wyoming at the National Finals.

Chance Sorenson from Arvada won the steer wrestling average and William Albrecht of Sheridan qualified for the finals in the tie down roping.

The National High School Finals will be in Lincoln, Nebraska July 18th – 24th

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies beat San Diego last night 3-2 tonight they play again at Coors field game time tonight is 6:40 you can hear Rockies baseball on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
