STATE WRESTLING – The 2-A state wrestling tournament took place Thursday the Wright Panthers took the team championship, the Tongue River Eagles finished in 18th place Luke Singer made it to the 182 semi finals and settled for a 5th place finish as the only Eagle to place at state.
The 3-A tournament is happening today and the 4-A state championships will be held tomorrow the Sheridan Broncs are one of four teams that have a very good chance to be on top of the podium Saturday night as Head coach Tyson Shatto says the competition was close all season and the margin of error is razor thin for the top teams.
1-A / 2-A REGIONAL HOOPS – The Big Horn and Tongue River girls basketball teams had their seasons end Thursday in the first round of regional tournament play the Lady Rams were eliminated by Moorcroft 56-31 and the Lady Eagles were eliminated by Sundance 48-31
In the boys bracket Big Horn knocked out Tongue River winning 57-54 in overtime that victory put Big Horn into the state tournament. The Rams then lost against Sundance 49-42 they will play at home tomorrow against Glenrock the winner will have a 3 seed for the state tournament the loser will be a 4 seed.
BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs close out the regular season with games at Casper Kelly Walsh tonight game times are 5:30 and 7:00 and can be heard on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.
STATE INDOOR TRACK – The state indoor track meet will be held in Gillette tomorrow the Sheridan Broncs are the defending state champs
JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks go on the road for two in Bozeman, Montana tonight and tomorrow.
