Troopers Drop Game in Cheyenne / Jets Hosting State “B” Tournament / Logan Wilson Signs With the Bengals

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers dropped the opener of their double header yesterday at Cheyenne 14-4 the second game was called off by bad weather.

The Troops play in Laramie today then onto Gillette for a double header on Friday. The next home games will be Sunday when they host Rapid City Post 22.

JETS BASEBALL – The Sheridan Jets are hosting the “B” state tournament they stayed in the winners bracket yesterday with a 6-3 win over Cheyenne.

Other games Tuesday Bridger Valley eliminated Riverton 13-6, Powell knocked out Evanston 4-2 and the Casper Roughnecks beat the Casper Crush 7-3.

Games today start at 1:00 with Powell taking on the Casper Crush, then Bridger Valley plays Cheyenne at 4:00 and the Jets play the Casper Roughnecks at 7:00.

The tournament concludes Friday with the title game set for 11:00 am.

NFL FOOTBALL – Former Casper Natrona and Wyoming Cowboy football Stand out Logan Wilson has officially signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Wilson was selected in the in the third round of the NFL draft, his rookie deal is for year at just under five million dollars the deal included at 1.1 million dollar signing bonus. all NFL rookies are in their training camps this week.
