Sheridan/Johnson County HS Spring Sports: The weather, or the worst of it, held off just long enough yesterday, for Sheridan High School Spring Sports teams to get some games in.

The Broncs soccer team was down 1-nothing at halftime at home vs. Campbell County, then scored 4 times after the break to win.

Liam Nelson had a hat trick to help keep his team undefeated.

Buffalo won both soccer games yesterday at Worland by the same scores of 3-1.

The Bison and Lady Bison are scheduled to play again tomorrow at Torrington.

The Sheridan Softball team played yesterday morning and swept a double-header at Worland, by scores of 22-7 and 13-2.

The Lady Broncs, through the Sheridan Rec District, are hosting a softball camp tomorrow at the Sheridan College Softball Complex for those in kindergarten through 8th grade.

One event this weekend has been canceled and that is today’s golf meet at Buffalo.

Sheridan Mavericks Lacrosse: This weekend is the Sheridan Lacrosse Showcase, as several high school teams and a couple of college teams will be in town for the weekend.

The Sheridan Mavericks take on the Jackson JV today at 5pm and play Helena, Montana tomorrow at the same time.

Both of those games will be played at Bridges Field, which is the old Normative Services Facility.

The Mavs won vs. Jackson’s JV last week on the road, and they were supposed to play at Helena 2 weeks ago, but the team was unable to make the trip because of the weather.

A number of other games will take place this weekend at both Bridges Field and at Blacktooth Park.

A free boys youth clinic is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 1pm at Bridges Field.

There is one college game that will take place tomorrow as the University of Wyoming club team will take on Montana State at 3pm.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers game scheduled to be played yesterday at Gillette, was snowed out and will be made up on May 14th.

Meanwhile, the team is preparing to play its home opener this Sunday vs. Miles City, Montana.

Sheridan started their season last weekend with 4 losses on the road against both Rapid City Post 22 and Post 320.

Troopers Head Coach Austin Cowen explains what he would like to see the team accomplish this weekend.

Sunday’s double-header is scheduled to begin at 1pm.

You can watch a LIVE video stream of the game on Sheridan Media TV, which you can see on the front page of the Sheridan Media website.

James Timberlake will have the LIVE radio play-by-play call, on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Sheridan College Rodeo: This weekend’s competition within the Central Rocky Mountain Region is in Casper.

Cowboys and cowgirls are still jockeying for position in the season standings, as the top 3 at the end of this month get invited to the College National Finals Rodeo.

The regular season concludes next weekend at the University of Wyoming.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies snapped their 6-game skid, by winning yesterday at Houston 3-2.

Hunter Goodman did his part by providing a solo home run.

The Rockies start a 7-game homestand today with the first of 4 against the LA Dodgers.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm.

Tomorrow’s game starts at 6:10pm and Sunday’s game has a start time of 1:10pm.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche concluded the regular season last night, with a 2-nothing win at home vs. Seattle.
