Mamma Mia! cast talks plot and character

The WYO Performing Arts and Education Center is now selling tickets to Mamma Mia! 

The Premiere Performance of Mamma Mia! will be presented at the WYO at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, with encore performances Oct. 15, and Oct. 19, through 22, 2023. 

Directed by Marva Craft, Mamma Mia! features a hit soundtrack by ABBA and tells the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. 

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, cast member Valerie Grammens told the public a little about the story of this musical.

Danielle Law plays Donna Sheridan, the single mom who has raised her daughter for 20 years.

Rowan Russel plays Sam Carmichael, one of the three potential fathers. He told listeners that many people can identify with the thought of the one that got away.

The Premiere Event will take the place of the annual WYO Gala and will still feature local performers with musical direction by Kathy McNickle and design by Jeannie Hall.
