TW Fire Three-Quarters Contained, Resources Demobilizing

The TW Fire southeast of Buffalo is 76% contained, and still at approximately 3,000 acres, according to Johnson County Fire District 1 Public Information Officer Marilyn Connolly.
Connolly, in a release Wednesday, said the Type 3 team transferred management of the fire to a Type 4 team as of 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Most of the resources have been demobilized.
The current situation is that fire behavior is minimal, and indirect containment lines have been established and are being monitored.
Demobilization will continue throughout the day.
Divisions Alpha, November, and Zulu have been combined.
Smoke Busters will control the current fire line, cold trail black, and continue hand work/mop up.
Suppression rehab will be conducted.
There currently is no cost estimate available.
Connolly also reported that the area did receive rain on the fire Wednesday which may speed up full containment.
