Building Department Update

City of Sheridan Community Development Director Wade Sanner provided a building department update at Tuesday night’s regularly scheduled City Council meeting. Sanner provided the Council and Mayor Rich Bridger with statistics from the City’s building and planning departments, beginning with planning.

Following a brief summary of four major subdivisions in the City, Sanner highlighted some numbers from the building department.

Sanner closed his presentation by saying the City is growing at a substantial, steady rate that is sustainable. Other business included the Council approving third and final reading of an ordinance establishing the Parks Department and second reading approval of an ordinance allowing for property on Bender Lane to be zoned from M-1 to R-3. The Council, following an executive session, approved Steve Gage as the department head for the Parks Department.
