Emme Mullinax Of Big Horn HS To Play Volleyball At Casper College: One of the key players behind the recent success of the Big Horn High School Volleyball team, will stay in Wyoming to play at the next level.

Emme Mullinax has signed a written offer of athletic aid to compete at Casper College.

During her 4 years playing at BH, she helped the Lady Rams win 3 2A State Championships and had one 2A State Runner-Up finish.

Mullinax says Big Horn’s success as a smaller volleyball school got the attention of many college coaches.

She adds she’s been playing since 7th grade and explains what’s so fun about the sport.

As much as she’s enjoyed the game, Mullinax says volleyball may not be in her long term future.

Mullinax says she is considering majoring in pre-med.


Sheridan HS Softball: Sheridan is scheduled to host Thunder Basin today.

Varsity game times are at 4 and 6pm.

The Lady Bolts are the 3-time defending state champs, and beat the Lady Broncs 10-zip and 13-2 late last month.

The weather is once again a concern as showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast.

If there’s a change in schedule, we will pass it along as soon as possible.

Sheridan also plays Friday at Campbell County and on Saturday at home vs. Worland.


Sheridan HS Track and Field: Sheridan hosts the Gary Benson Invitational tomorrow starting at 11am. 

Nine other teams including Buffalo are scheduled to attend.

The Dan Hansen Memorial Meet is this coming Saturday at 10am.


Sheridan/Buffalo HS Soccer: Sheridan is starting their second run in 4A East Conference Play.

This weekend’s opponents are Laramie on Friday and Cheyenne South on Saturday.

The boys play at home and the girls on the road.

Saturday’s game for the boys will be played at Big Horn, because of the track meet.

Buffalo next plays Thursday at Newcastle and on Friday at Cody.


Sheridan/Buffalo Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers won both games of a double-header this past Saturday at home vs. Lovell.

Scores were 7-1 and 9-4.

The team is next scheduled to play 2 games this coming Saturday and one on Sunday at home vs. the Rapid City Post 22 Expos.

Meanwhile the Buffalo Bulls dropped both ends of a double-header at home vs. the Sheridan Jets on Saturday, 14-3 and 3-zip.

The team is next scheduled to play a home double-header this coming Sunday vs. Powell.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies lost 2 out of 3 this past weekend at home vs. Washington.

Friday’s game was rained out.

On Saturday, Colorado lost 12-11.

Mickey Moniak hit a 2-run home run in the 2nd inning, and the team scored 8 runs in the 7th inning and 1 in the 9th, but were 1 -run short.

Yesterday the 2 teams split a double-header.

The Nationals won the first game 3-2.

Zac Veen and Braxton Fulford each hit solo shots for the Rocks, but the team was again 1-run short.

In the second game, Colorado won 3-1.

Today is an off day on the schedule, and the Rockies will start a 3-game series tomorrow at Kansas City.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won Game 1 of their first round best of 7 series at home against the LA Clippers on Saturday 112-110 in overtime.

Game 2 is today at Denver starting at 8pm.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won Game 1 of their first round best of 7 series at Dallas on Saturday 5-1.

Game 2 is today at Dallas, starting at 7:30pm.
