Chance Morris of Sheridan HS To Run Track At Univ. Of Wyoming: Wyoming’s fastest High School Track runner will trade in his blue and gold, to run for the Brown and Gold.

Chance Morris of Sheridan High School has signed a written offer of athletic aid to compete at the University of Wyoming.

The senior is last year’s 4A Outdoor State Champ in the 100 and 200 meter dash races.

He is also this year’s Indoor State Champ in the 55 and 200 meter dash races, and the new state record holder in those 2 events.

Morris has only been competing for 3 years and says there were a few other schools that had reached out to him, but they underestimated him and he has bigger plans.

He adds that he was impressed that the UW Track and Field program is trying to stay in-state with recruiting.

Morris says he plans to major in engineering.


Sheridan County HS Track and Field: Sheridan is scheduled to compete at the Kelly Walsh Invitational today in Casper, but the weather forecast does not appear to be favorable.

The Gary Benson Invitational at Sheridan is scheduled for next week Tuesday.

Big Horn and Tongue River are scheduled to compete in a dual against each other tomorrow at BH.


Sheridan HS Soccer and Softball Games Postponed: Today’s Sheridan High School soccer and softball games have been rescheduled because of the weather.

The soccer game will makeup on Tuesday, April 29th against Campbell County.

The boys will play on the road and the girls at home.

Softball vs. Worland will makeup on Saturday, April 26th.

The next game for the Lady Broncs is this coming Monday at home vs. Thunder Basin.


Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies ended up being swept at the LA Dodgers, losing yesterday 8-7.

Michael Toglia hit a grand slam and Mickey Moniak followed with a solo shot, but it was not enough.

Today is an off day on the schedule.

The Rocks return home tomorrow to start a 3-game series vs. Washington.


NBA Playoffs: In the NBA play-in tournament last night, Miami went on the road and eliminated Chicago 109-90, and Dallas won at Sacramento 120-106 to eliminate the Kings.

On Friday, it will be Miami at Atlanta and Dallas at Memphis.

The losers are eliminated, while the winners advance to play either Cleveland or Oklahoma City.

The Denver Nuggets will start their first round best of seven series on Saturday at home vs. the LA Clippers.


NHL Playoffs: The matchups for the Stanley Cup playoffs are now set.

Some teams conclude their regular season today, but the outcomes of all of today’s games will have no impact on the postseason.

The Colorado Avalanche will play Game 1 of their first round best of 7 series on Saturday at Dallas.

The rest of the playoff schedule is to be announced.
