Billy McCool Of Big Horn HS To Play Football At Valparaiso University

A Big Horn High School Ram will soon be a Beacon on the football field.
Billy McCool has signed a written offer of athletic aid to compete at Valparaiso University, located in Northwest Indiana.
This past season, the senior offensive lineman helped BH win its 2nd state title in 3 years and went undefeated in the process.
He says he had a bad taste in his mouth when the Rams came up short in the state championship game in his junior year.
“I wasn’t satisfied with my performance my junior year and I decided I wanted to completely change that. Along the way, I took my brother with me. We just trained all off-season, running, lifting, camps, everything, and I’d say it honestly paid off great.”
Among the other schools that McCool says had been considering include the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Georgia State and a number of Junior Colleges.
He adds he plans to major in political science.
The Valparaiso Beacon football team competes in the Pioneer League, as part of the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision and went 4-7 this past season.
