Kailee Holst Of Sheridan HS To Play Volleyball At Gillette College: A Sheridan High School volleyball player will stay in state to continue playing the game she enjoys.
Kailee Holst has signed a written offer of athletic aid to compete at Gillette College.
This past season she helped the Lady Broncs qualify for the state tournament for the first time in 8 years and helped the team to a 3rd place finish.
Holst says Lady Pronghorn Coach Julia Machin told her that something different was needed on the team, and she fit the bill.
Holst adds she is considering majoring in elementary education.
Sheridan HS Boys Basketball: The Sheridan Broncs are off to a 10-0 start this season with a 2-0 record in the 4A East, thanks to wins at home this past weekend vs. Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.
The team is currently 3rd in Class 4A averaging 62.9 points per game and lead Class 4A in defense, allowing 45.2 points per game.
Head Coach Jeff Martini says if there’s one thing the team needs to work on, is busting out of a shooting slump.
It happens in basketball, and the Broncs sometimes have busted out of their slumps more later than sooner.
Sheridan is on the road Friday against Laramie and on Saturday at Cheyenne South.
