Sheridan HS Basketball: The Sheridan High School Basketball teams are back in action this week and will see different competition compared to what they saw before the winter break.

Both teams are off to a 5-0 start even though they’ve played 2 teams twice already.

Boys Head Coach Jeff Martini says this year’s team has a bit of a competitive advantage.

Both the Broncs and Lady Broncs play in the Cheyenne Invitational this weekend.

Conference play starts next weekend, and in past years, there’s usually been another week on the schedule to prepare, but not this time around.

Girls Head Coach Ryan Sullivan says this weekend is the last tune-up and the team has to get things in order sooner than they usually have to.

On Thursday, the Broncs and Lady Broncs will take on 3A Wheatland beginning at 3:30pm.

Those games will be played at Cheyenne South.

On Friday, Sheridan will head to Cheyenne East to play Riverton, starting at 3pm.

On Saturday, it’s back to Cheyenne South to play Rock Springs starting at 9am.


Tongue River and Big Horn HS Basketball: The Tongue River and Big Horn boys and girls play 4 games this weekend.

The BH boys will play Thermopolis and Shoshoni on Friday and play Burns and Pine Bluffs on Saturday.

All of those games will be played at Wright.

The TR boys will play their games at Sundance.

The Eagles play PB and Burns on Friday and go up against Shoshoni and Thermopolis on Saturday.

Both the Lady Eagles and Lady Rams will have the same 4 opponents over the course of Friday and Saturday.

The first 2 will be played at Thermopolis, while the other 2 will be played at Shoshoni.


University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back in action today with another conference game.

The Pokes host New Mexico starting at 8pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos are back in the playoffs for the first time in 9 years as the team will travel to Buffalo this Sunday.

Recently 3 Bronco players were named to the Pro Bowl.

Two on defense, one on special teams and all 3 will start.

Nik Bonitto will be an outside linebacker, while Patrick Surtain II will start at cornerback.

Marvin Mims Junior will play as a return specialist.

The 2025 Pro Bowl will be played on February 2nd in Orlando at the University of Central Florida.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche were victorious last night at home against defending Stanley Cup Champ Florida, by a score of 3-1.

The Avs next play tomorrow at Chicago.
