Sheridan HS Volleyball Places 3rd At State Tournament: The Sheridan High School Volleyball team not only qualified for their first state tournament since 2016, the girls brought home a trophy.

The Lady Broncs won their 4A opening round match vs. Green River 3-2, then lost in the semi-finals vs. Laramie 3-1.

In the consolation round on Saturday, Sheridan swept both Cheyenne East and Thunder Basin to claim the 4A 3rd Place trophy.

Senior Naomi Andersen says the season didn’t get off to a great start at both the Cheyenne and Gillette Invitationals, but as the girls got into the conference portion of their schedule and they weren’t playing as many games each week, things started to come together.

Senior Kailee Holst says the Lady Broncs just had to play more like a team.

Sheridan finished the season with a record of 23-14, which is their best record since 2015.


Tongue River HS Volleyball Are 2A State Runners-Up: For the Tongue River volleyball team, they were so close, yet so far from their first state title since 1996.

At the 2A State Tournament, the Lady Eagles swept both Shoshoni and Sundance to make it to the championship match, 

In that match against rival Big Horn, TR would win the first set, but then things went downhill after that.

Coach Kristen Masters explains what was working in the first set.

Tongue River finishes the season with a record of 26-5-4.


University of Wyoming Football: It’s Border War week for the Wyoming Cowboys as the team will battle for the bronze boot in Fort Collins.

The Pokes had last week off to prepare for this game, while the Rams have put together a 4-0 conference record.

Head Coach Jay Sawvel explains how the Brown and Gold used last week and how they’re using this week to get ready.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won at home last night vs. Nashville 3-2 in overtime, to even up their record at 8-8 on the season.

The Avs next play tomorrow at home vs. LA.

The puck drops at 8pm.
