Wyoming HS Volleyball State Tournament: Sheridan, Big Horn and Tongue River were all victorious yesterday in the first round of the State Volleyball Tournament taking place in Casper.

In Class 4A, the Lady Broncs won a 5-set thriller vs. Green River and will play in the semifinals today at 6pm against defending state champ Laramie.

In Class 2A, the Lady Eagles swept Shoshoni, while the Lady Rams did the same to Big Piney.

In the semifinals it will be TR vs. Sundance at 4:30pm, and then BH vs. Pine Bluffs at 6pm.

The championship games are tomorrow starting at 4:30pm.

Big Horn HS Football: Big Horn will host Lovell in the 2A semifinals today starting at 4pm.

Shane Parker will have a LIVE radio play-by-play broadcast of the game, on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.

The other 2A semifinal is Cokeville at Mountain View starting at 1pm.

The 2A State Championship Game is 1 week from today at 12-noon inside War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.


Sheridan HS Football: Sheridan will host Natrona County tomorrow in the 4A semifinals.

The Broncs defeated the Mustangs on the road in middle September 29-7, in a game which neither team scored in the 2nd half.

Since then, the opposition has had time to rebuild and has put together what is now the #1 defense in 4A and #3 defense in all of Wyoming 11-man football.

Sheridan Head Coach Jeff Mowry says he’s noticed what NC has done differently, and the Broncs are going to have to think fast, because the Mustangs can and will switch strategies as the game goes on.

Kickoff is scheduled for 1pm.

The other 4A semifinal will be played today between Cheyenne East and Campbell County starting at 6pm.

The 4A State Championship game will be played 1 week from tomorrow starting at 4pm in Laramie.


Sheridan HS Girls Swimming and Diving: Today and tomorrow is the 4A State Meet which will take place at Cheyenne East High School.

Sheridan placed 3rd at the 4A East Conference Meet 2 weeks ago, but most of the meets this year have been dominated by either Laramie or Green River.

Lady Bronc Head Coach Brent Moore says the team has set some realistic expectations for this weekend.

Preliminary rounds are today starting at 4pm and the finals are tomorrow starting at 10am.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are back from their off week and will play a pair of road games today and tomorrow against Bozeman.

The puck drops both nights at 7:30pm.

The team will be back at home next week Friday and Saturday vs. Cody.


University of Wyoming Football: This week is an off week for the Wyoming Cowboys.

The team will be back in action one week from today in the Border War at Colorado State.


University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back on the court this Sunday at home vs. Tennessee State.

Tip off is scheduled for 2pm and you can hear the game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Wyoming Cowgirls play tomorrow at BYU starting at 2pm.

That game can be heard LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.


Denver Broncos Football: The Denver Broncos will try to knock Kansas City off of their undefeated perch on Sunday.

Kickoff from KC is scheduled for 11am and that game will be broadcasted LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.


Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets gave Oklahoma City their first loss of the season back on Wednesday, 124-122 at home.

The Nuggets play today at home vs. Miami starting at 7pm and will host Dallas on Sunday at 6pm.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost last night at Winnipeg 1-0.

The opposition scored 1 minute and 6 seconds into the game and that was it.

The Avs play again tomorrow at home vs. Carolina, beginning at 7pm.
