Sheridan HS Volleyball: The Sheridan High School Volleyball team has completed their first run through the 4A East Conference.

Last week, the team lost 3-2 at Campbell County then recovered to sweep Thunder Basin at home.

The Lady Broncs sit in 2nd place with a 4-2 conference record, which puts them in 2nd place behind Laramie.

Head Coach Dani Torpey says it’s normal for the second time through the conference to be much tougher than the first, and it’s going to help make the Lady Broncs that much better.

Sheridan is on the road this Friday and Saturday against Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.

University Of Wyoming Football: After an off weekend from competition, the Wyoming Cowboys are back in action.

The Brown and Gold host San Diego State this coming Saturday.

The Aztecs are 2-3 on the season so far, and held to win at home vs. Hawaii last week 27-24.

SDSU’s main threat is arguably running back Marquez Cooper, who leads the Mountain West Conference in all games in rushing attempts, averaging about 25 carries and about 116 yards per game.

Pokes’ Head Coach Jay Sawvel says now that the team has had the off week, there’s no excuse for having a slow start in this game.

Kickoff in Laramie is scheduled for 1:30pm.

Major League Baseball Playoffs: Every series in both the American and National League Division Series is tied at 1 game a-piece.

Yesterday, Detroit got a 3-run home run in the top of the 9th inning to win at Cleveland 3-zip, while Kansas City doubled up the New York Yankees 4-2.

Game 3 in both of those series will be played tomorrow.

Today is Game 3 of the National League Division Series.

Philadelphia at the New York Mets is 1st, followed by the LA Dodgers at San Diego.
