Sheridan HS Football: Practice continues for the Sheridan Bronc Football Team and now players get to hit someone or something.

Today is the first day that they can put on the pads.

The Broncs are the 3-time defending 4A State Champs, and as usual they’ll get every opponent’s best shot.

Head Coach Jeff Mowry says that’s to be expected and he sees it as a weekly opportunity for the players and the team to get better.

Sheridan’s first game is 2 weeks from tomorrow at home vs. Cheyenne South.

Buffalo HS Grad Chris Prosinski Looks Back At His Youth Football Days: When it comes to football, you don’t always need the pads and the playbook to get out and enjoy the game.

Earlier this week, Buffalo High School grad and former UW Cowboy Football and NFL Player Chris Prosinski put on a 1-day camp to teach youngsters in grades 1-8 some of the basic techniques of the game.

Growing up Prosinski says his elementary and middle school football days, whether it was the backyard game, or some youth camp, those days were what helped build the foundation of his future success.

Prosinski graduated from Buffalo HS in 2006 and helped the Bison win 2 football state championships.

Sheridan County HS Golf: Sheridan was supposed to compete at the 2-day Powell Invitational yesterday and today, however yesterday’s competition was called off due to the weather, so the Broncs and Lady Broncs will only compete today.

Big Horn and Tongue River don’t play their first competition until the end of next week.

Sheridan HS Tennis: Sheridan is scheduled to start the 2024 season at a jamboree in Casper this coming Saturday.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs will play their home opener on Monday vs. Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies ended up getting swept at Arizona, losing yesterday afternoon 11-4.

The Rocks are off today and will start a 3-game series tomorrow at home vs. San Diego.
