A loss or a tie will drop them to #4.

The Broncs are already locked into the #2 seed on their side, thus today’s game is worthless as far as seeding is concerned.

University of Wyoming Spring Football: Last week spring practice ended for the Wyoming Cowboys.

The team held an open scrimmage last week Thursday, and had to cancel last Saturday’s spring game at Cheyenne, due to the weather.

In that scrimmage, the Brown defeated the Gold 17-10.

Quarterback Evan Svoboda was 17 of 27 passing for 204 yards and 1 TD for the victorious brown team.

Running Back DJ Jones rushed for 77 yards and 1 score.

The Gold team used 2 quarterbacks.

Jayden Clemons was 18 of 27 passing for 174 yards and Kaden Anderson was 14 of 22 for 116 yards.

Pokes Coach Jay Sawvel says in the grand scheme of things, he was pleased with how both squads performed considering the sudden change of schedule last week.

Earlier this week the Cowboys lost an important piece of their defensive line as defensive tackle Gavin Meyer announced his intention to enter the transfer portal.

Last year he had 26 tackles, including 3 ½ for a loss.

He has 1 year of eligibility remaining.

The 2024 Wyoming Cowboy football season starts on August 31st at Arizona State.

The home opener is on September 7th vs. Idaho.
