Sheridan HS Soccer: The Sheridan Boys Soccer team hosts undefeated Cheyenne Central today at 6pm and will host Cheyenne East tomorrow at 12-noon.

When the Broncs last played those 2 teams 3 weeks ago at Cheyenne, the team was not at full strength, but they will be the second time around.

Head Coach Wade Kinsey says the opposition will be aware of that fact, and Sheridan may show them a new thing or two.

The Lady Broncs will play at Cheyenne Central today at 6pm and tomorrow at Cheyenne East at 9am.

Sheridan beat those 2 teams last time, and after that, the teams’ offense took a week off.

Head Coach Josh Dube says despite splitting their 2 games last week, it looks like the girls have found ways to score goals again and found something else, which was not necessarily a bad thing.

The Lady Broncs will have to contend more with the rain than the boys will have to, as an approaching storm system is passing through the southern part of the state.

Sheridan County HS Track and Field: All 4 Sheridan County High School teams are scheduled to compete today at Buffalo.

Gavin Stafford of Big Horn will be at the Wyoming Track Classic in Casper, competing against some of the best of the best in the state.

Sheridan County HS Spring Golf: Sheridan will be on the course today at Gillette.

Big Horn and Tongue River will go to the other side of the Big Horn Mountains to play at Powell.

Sheridan Maverick/Lady Maverick Lacrosse: The Sheridan Mavericks are scheduled to play tomorrow at 10am and 4pm in Cody vs. 2 different opponents from Bozeman.

The Lady Mavericks will play 2 games tomorrow at Missoula and one more Sunday morning.

Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers lost a 9-inning non-conference game last night at Gillette, 10-7, to fall to 2-4 on the season.

Sheridan was up 3-0, but then the Roughriders hung up a 10-spot on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 4th inning.

The Troopers got 4 of them back in the 6th, but it wasn’t enough.

The team is home tomorrow beginning at 11am in a non-conference game vs. the Casper Oilers, and again at 5pm vs. the Billings Scarlets.

On Sunday, they will host the Billings Royals at 10am and play Casper again at 4pm.

All 4 games will have a live video stream at sheridanmedia.com and you can hear the radio broadcast on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9FM.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won yesterday afternoon vs. San Diego 10-9 to salvage a split in the 4-game series.

The Rocks were down 9-4 going into the bottom of the 8th inning, then scored 6 times and held on to win.

Elehuris Montero hit a solo home run and Hunter Goodman hit a 3-run bomb to aid the cause.

Colorado has a rare Friday off on the schedule.

The team will play a 2-game series vs. the Houston Astros tomorrow and Sunday, and the Rockies will be the home team, but the games will be played in Mexico City.

Denver Broncos Football: Last night was Round 1 of the NFL draft.

Six quarterbacks were chosen in the top 12 picks and the Denver Broncos decided to grab Bo Nix out of Oregon, with their pick at #12.

Rounds 2 and 3 of the draft will take place today.

The Broncos do not have a second round pick.

Rounds 4 through 7 are tomorrow and Denver will have a total of 7 picks that day.

So far in the draft, no players from Mountain West Conference teams have heard their name get called.

Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at the LA Lakers 112-105, to take a 3-zip lead in their first round best of 7 series.

The Nuggets will try for the sweep tomorrow at LA.

Other playoff scores from yesterday, Orlando beat up Cleveland 121-83, but trail in the series 2-1.

Philadelphia topped New York 125-114 and trail 2-1 in their series as well.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche are scheduled to host game 3 of their first round best of 7 series vs. Winnipeg today.

The series is tied at 1 and the puck is scheduled to drop at 8pm.

Last night, Florida and Carolina took a 3-0 lead in their respective series vs. Tampa Bay and the New York Islanders respectively.

Both the Panthers and the Hurricanes will try to go for a sweep tomorrow.
