Sheridan HS Boys Wrestling Team Finishes 2023-2024 Season As 4A State Runners-Up; Girls 3rd For 2nd Straight Year

Three Sheridan Bronc Wrestlers won their respective weight classes, and two others placed 2nd, as the Sheridan Boys Wrestling team finished the 2023-2024 season as 4A State Runners-Up.

Cody Dunham won the 120 pound weight class, Dan Steel won at 165 pounds (3-time champ, undefeated season at 52-0) and Nahir Aguirre won at 175 pounds.

Dylan Goss was 2nd at 144 pounds and Keegan Rager was 2nd at 150 pounds.

Other Sheridan Boys Wrestlers That Placed In The Top 6:

Ian Riesen – 4th 106 pounds

Cache Wood – 5th 113 pounds

River Osborne – 6th 132 pounds

Braxten Crow and Cole Riesen – 4th and 6th respectively 138 pounds

Kelton Crow – 4th 157 pounds

Ryan Petzold – 5th 175 pounds.

Tongue River Boys Results: (15th place in Class 2A)

Jack Melger – 6th 144 pounds

Caleb Vollmer – 4th 157 pounds

Two Sheridan Lady Bronc wrestlers won their respective weight classes, while 1 other finished 3rd, 1 4th and 1 6th, to help the team finish 3rd for the second year in a row.

Paityn Covolo won the 135 pound weight class and Becca Oetken won at 190 pounds (2-time champs, undefeated season at 34-0).

Bridgette Price – 4th 170 pounds

Jada Bohm – 6th 235 pounds
