Sheridan HS Basketball: Tomorrow is the regular season home finale and senior night for the Sheridan Broncs and Lady Broncs.

The girls game tips off at 5:30pm and the boys game will follow.

The #1 seed out of the northeast quadrant is on the line between the Broncs and Mustangs.

As for the Lady Broncs, they are already locked into the #2 northeast seed, thus there’s not as much on the line in their game.

Sheridan will host the 4A East Regional Tournament which starts 1 week from today.

Tongue River, Big Horn and Arvada-Clearmont Basketball: Regional Basketball tournaments start today in Class 2A and 1A.

Sheridan HS Nordic Skiing: The state meet is tomorrow and Saturday on Casper Mountain.

Sheridan County HS Indoor Track and Field: All 3 Sheridan County teams have one last tune-up meet today in Gillette.

Sheridan Head Coach Taylor Kelting says for the most part, the weather for the indoor season has been the opposite of what it was last year during the outdoor season, and right now, no one’s complaining.

The Wyoming High School Indoor Track and Field State meet is next weekend in Gillette.

Terner Reynolds of Sheridan HS Signs NLI To Play Soccer In England: The 2024 Wyoming High School Soccer season has not yet started and a Sheridan High School senior is hoping to learn to play a more competitive style of fuutball overseas.

Terner Reynolds has signed his National Letter of Intent to play at the I2I International Soccer Academy while he attends Leads Beckett University in England.

For the Broncs he’s been mostly used as a defender and says through the classes he’ll be taking, he hopes to get a degree in business and/or sports management.

Reynolds adds he wants to learn how to play a tougher style of fuutball that usually isn’t played in the US.

Practice for the Wyoming High School soccer season can start on March 4th and Sheridan plays its first game on March 15th.

University of Wyoming Basketball: Last night the Wyoming Cowgirls had a 8-point lead with a little more than 3 minutes to go at home vs. first place UNLV, and could not hold onto it.

The game went into overtime, the Lady Runnin’ Rebels scored the first 5 points to seize momentum for good, and UW ended up losing 63-60.

The 2 stats that stuck out the most was that UNLV won the bench scoring battle 31-16 and UNLV found ways to get to the free throw line as they were 13 of 18 from the charity stripe, while the Brown and Gold was only 3 of 6.

Emily Mellema had 14 points for Wyoming, and McKinley Dickerson came off the bench to score 14 of her own.

Allyson Fertig had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Cowgirls are now 14-11 on the season and have a 9-5 record in the Mountain West Conference.

This Saturday will be a women’s and men’s home double-header in Laramie.

The Cowgirls will play New Mexico beginning at 2pm and then the Cowboys will play Boise State at 5:30pm.

Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks have 4 games remaining in the regular season and are still mathematically alive in the chase for the final playoff spot in their division, however they do not control their own destiny.

Both Rapid City and Great Falls are ahead of the Hawks in the standings and the big problem is they start a 3-game series tonight vs. each other at Rapid City.

Since there has to be a winner, Sheridan needs to win their remaining 4 games, they also need Great Falls to win 2 of 3 at Rapid City, but not all 3 and then next weekend they need Gillette to beat Rapid City twice, and have Butte beat Great Falls twice, then examine all the tie breakers.

The Hawks play tomorrow and Saturday at Butte.

Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The exhibition season starts tomorrow for the Colorado Rockies.

The team will play a home game at their spring training facility against Arizona starting at 1:10pm Mountain Time.
