Sheridan High School’s senior quarterback will soon have a Hardrock college life.
Dominick Berrettini has signed his National Letter Of Intent (NLI) to play football at the South Dakota School of Mines.
This past season he completed 83 out of 124 passes for 1,521 yards, 18 touchdowns and was intercepted 3 times.
He also ran for 514 yards and got into the end zone 15 times.
Defensively Berrettini had 1 interception which he returned for a score.
He says he chose the school because it isn’t far from home, and it has one of the top engineering programs in the country.
As far as what he thinks the football coaching staff saw in him, Berrettini says the Hardrockers have a similar style of play that Sheridan has.
“I play a really good RPO and they have that installed in their offensive system and they run similar to what we do here and so I think it’s a good fit for everybody. It’s cool to go play football, but ultimately, I’m there to get an education, so and get the best of both worlds there.”
Berrettini adds the only other school he had been considering was Dickinson State in North Dakota.
