Sheridan HS Basketball: This coming weekend and next, the Sheridan High School boys and girls basketball teams are going to get a first hand experience on what the competition on the other side of their region is like.

The Broncs and Lady broncs play at Cheyenne East on Friday and at Cheyenne Central on Saturday.

Girls Head Coach Ryan Sullivan explains what kind of challenges the Lady Broncs will face when they go up against the Lady Thunderbirds and the Lady Indians.

The Sheridan girls are currently 12-2 on the season, while Cheyenne East is 14-2 and Cheyenne Central is 10-4.

Friday’s games are scheduled to tip off at 6pm and Saturday’s games at 12-noon.


Big Horn and Tongue River HS Basketball: The Big Horn and Tongue River boys and girls basketball teams will meet for the second time this season tomorrow at Dayton.

The girls game tips off at 6:30pm and the boys will follow.

On Friday, TR will play at home against Rocky mountain.

BH has no game scheduled.

On Saturday the Eagles and Lady Eagles travel to Sundance, while the Rams and Lady Rams will host Riverside.


Arvada-Clearmont HS Basketball: Last night the Arvada-Clearmont boys and girls basketball teams dropped a home double-header against the Sheridan Sophomores.

The girls score was 51-46 in overtime, and the boys score was 61-11.

A-C next plays on Saturday at Midwest.


Sheridan County HS Wrestling: The Sheridan boys and girls are preparing for 5 duals in the next 3 days, all from the comforts of home.

Tomorrow, the Broncs and Lady Broncs host Natrona.

The JV matches start at 5pm.

Varsity girls will follow and then the varsity boys will follow after that.

Friday’s action will be more serious as conference opponents Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central are in town.

On Saturday, Sheridan will dual against Cheyenne South and Laramie.

Tongue River will be at Lovell on Friday for duals against the Bulldogs and Shoshoni.

On Saturday, TR will compete at a tournament at Greybull.


Sheridan HS Boys Swimming: The Sheridan Broncs will compete tomorrow and Saturday at the 4A East Conference meet at Gillette.


Sheridan HS Nordic Ski: The Nordic Ski teams will be in action tomorrow and Saturday at Cody.


Sheridan County HS Indoor Track and Field: All 3 Sheridan County Indoor Track and Field teams will compete at Gillette tomorrow.


University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys finally got a conference win on the road, as they defeated Air Force last night 83-72.

The Pokes shot 56% for the game and drained 12 of 19 3-point attempts.

Brendan Wenzel had 6 of those 12 as he poured in 25 points.

Mason Walters was not that far behind with 22 points of his own and Akuel Kot hit 4 3’s en route to a 20 point game himself.

UW is now 12-9 overall with a 5-3 record in the Mountain West Conference, which puts them in a tie for 4th and 5th place.

The next game is this Saturday at UNLV.

Along the lines of UW at UNLV, that’s the big game tonight on the ladies side.

The winner between the Cowgirls and Lady Runnin’ Rebels will take over sole possession of first place in the conference.

Tip off is scheduled for 7:30pm and you can hear that game LIVE on Fox Sports 106.3 FM.


Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks will play their one and only home game of February this Friday when they host Gillette.

The puck drops at 7:30pm.

The 2 teams will rematch on Saturday at Gillette, which will be the start of a 7-game road trip for Sheridan.

After Friday, the team won’t be home again until their regular season finale on March 1st and 2nd.
