Sheridan HS Basketball: The Sheridan high School boys basketball team is back on the road this weekend beginning tomorrow at Buffalo.

Tip off is scheduled for 7pm.

Last year, the Bison visited Sheridan and won.

Broncs Head Coach Jeff Martini says there’s a little bit of a payback factor going into this game even though the 2 teams don’t always play each other every year, however he doesn’t want his team to be get too focused on the past.

Meanwhile, the Sheridan Lady Broncs are home vs. Buffalo tomorrow beginning at 7pm.

On Saturday, both the Broncs and Lady Broncs will play at Cody, beginning at 12:30pm.


Tongue River and Big Horn Basketball Teams Host Foothills Classic: Tongue River and Big Horn host the 3-day foothills classic beginning at 6pm.

The Eagles and Lady Eagles host Wyoming Indian, while the Rams and Lady Rams will host one of the Sheridan JV teams.

Both TR and BH will play twice tomorrow and one more game on Saturday.


High School Wrestling and Boys Swimming: The Sheridan wrestlers will be in Gillette on Friday and Saturday while the Tongue River wrestlers will be at Wright on Saturday.

The Sheridan Boys swim team will compete Friday and Saturday at Kelly Walsh.

Earlier this week the Broncs won 2 out of the 3 duals at the meet in Buffalo.

Sheridan Trooper Cael Hamrick Signs Baseball NLI For Hutchinson CC: A Sheridan Trooper baseball player will continue to play at the collegiate level.

Cael Hamrick has signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas.

In 2023 he helped the Troopers to a 41-23 record and get the #1 seed for the state tournament.

Hamrick says he likes the fact that the Blue Dragons actively pursued him and they liked the role that he plays on the team.

Hamrick adds he is considering majoring in optometry.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won last night at home vs. Buffalo 5-1.

They next play Saturday at Winnipeg.


Sheridan Hawks Junior Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks will play at the NA3HL’s Showcase event in Blaine, Minnesota, which is just north of Minneapolis.

The Hawks will play Sunday against a team from Euless, Texas beginning at 7:15pm

On Monday, they play the St. Louis Junior Blues starting at 5:15pm and then conclude the event Tuesday vs. a team out of Danbury, Connecticut at 8:30am.

The next home games for the Hawks aren’t until January 12th and 13th
