Sheridan Broncs Football: Last night (Wednesday) the Sheridan Bronc football team had its team banquet to celebrate the teams’ third consecutive state championship and a 12-0 season on top of that.
If you followed the Broncs this season, you saw that the team scored early and often in just about every game, but in this past weekend’s championship game, things were a bit different.
There was no score after 1 quarter and Sheridan was only up 7-3 at halftime.
Coach Jeff Mowry explains what happened in the first half.
For the season the Broncs scored 608 points which is a Wyoming high School 11-man football single season record.
Wyoming Cowboy Football: The Wyoming Cowboys play their home finale this Saturday against Hawaii.
Kickoff is scheduled for 12-noon.
The Pokes are 6-0 this season in War Memorial Stadium.
Hawaii currently has the worst rushing offense, the worst rushing defense and has the worst turnover margin in the Mountain West Conference.
Their strengths are that they have the 2nd best passing attack and their defense is second best in terms of tackles for losses.
The Pokes come into this game with the 2nd worst passing attack in the conference and the worst overall offense, but they have the 5th best rush defense, the 3rd best pass defense and the 4th best overall defense, but they’re the second worst in tackles for losses.
Wyoming Cowboy Basketball: Wyoming tips-off at 12-noon today against Saint Louis University.
The game is being played at Myrtle Beach.
The Pokes are part of an 8-team tournament and will play again tomorrow and Sunday.

Wyoming Cowgirl Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls basketball team will be back on the court Saturday at Gonzaga.
Tip-off is scheduled for 3pm.
Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche, manhandled Anaheim last night 8-2.
The Avs scored 5 goals in the 3rd period, including 2 in a stretch of 21 seconds.
Colorado’s next game is scheduled for this coming Saturday at Dallas.
Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks are on the road this weekend against Great Falls, Montana.
The team will be back at home next weekend vs. Cody.
