Big Horn Volleyball Team Trying To Reclaim 2A State Title

The Big Horn High School volleyball team is trying to live in the present and let the future take care of itself.

Two years ago, the Lady Rams won the 2A State Championship, and had to settle for the runner-up trophy last year.

This year they are one of the favorites to win it all, as long as they stay the course.

Head Coach Alli Nikont says part of last year’s misstep was since they were the defending champs, they got ahead of themselves and it came back to bite in the end.

“We wanted back in that championship game a lot and when you start looking ahead, you’re not as present and so that’s been our goal this year is to be present every single week, focus on week to week right now and just be in the moment and I think the girls are doing a really good job of that.”

BH concludes the regular season this week Friday (October 20th) at Sundance and Saturday (October 21st) at Greybull.

The 2A East Regional Tournament is next weekend at Wright.
