A Sheridan College bull-rider is among the best in the country.
Despite riding only 1-of-4 bulls successfully, it was enough for Wyatt Phelps to place 4th overall at the 2023 College National Finals Rodeo in Casper.
Phelps scored 85.5 points in round 2, which ended up winning the round.
He was unsuccessful in the first and third rounds, as well as the championship short-go.
Only six bull-riders (including Phelps) were successful in riding at least one bull for 8 seconds.
There were a total of 101 attempted rides throughout the week, and the riders came out on top on 11 of them.
Two riders were 3-for-4, and another was 2-for-4, hence they finished in the top three.
Of the 3 remaining bull riders that had one successful ride, Phelps had the highest score of the three.
