Playing at the Montana High School Lacrosse Association (MHSLA) State Tournament in Bozeman, MT, the Sheridan Maverick boys lacrosse team finished 6th overall, while the girls placed third.
The boys started the tournament with a 9-3 loss to Cody, then rebounded to defeat Butte, MT 15-4, and lost in the 5th place game vs. Helena, MT, 9-8.
Landon Underwood, Jaiden Roberts and Aiden Vanderhoef earned first team all-state honors while Ryan Petzold and Dillon Lemon earned honorable mention.
Roberts holds the club record for goals and points (goals and assists combined) in a single season with 52, and was ranked in the top 5 in the league in every major statistical category.
For the girls, they lost both games in pool play at the state tournament, dropping games vs. both Helena, MT (10-0) and Bozeman, MT (14-1).
Holland Scott and Brooke Alexander received All-State Honorable Mentions.
