Sheridan County 2A High School Basketball teams will try to win 1 state championship and 2 3rd Place trophies.
Boys:
Big Horn scored the first 10 points of the game and jumped out to an 11 point 1st quarter lead, only to have Tongue River battle back in the 2nd quarter, and the score stayed close for the rest of the contest.
Dawson Richards scored on a put-back with about 1:10 to go, to give the Rams the lead and they would hold on to beat Tongue River 55-53 in the 2A Boys Semi-Finals.
BH will play Pine Bluffs in the championship game on Saturday, March 4th at 8pm at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
TR will play Wind River in the 3rd Place game on Saturday, March 4th at 1:30pm at Casper College.
Cade Baker (23 points) and Caleb Gibson (18 points) did most of the scoring for the Rams (22-2), who shot 55.6% from the field.
Javin Walker (16 points) and Colter Hanft (15 points) were the leading scorers for the Eagles (21-5) who shot 46.8%.

Girls:
Back court turnovers were the Achilles Heel for the Tongue River girls, as they lost against Lingle-Ft. Laramie, 57-52 in the 2A semi-finals.
In total, TR committed 25 turnovers, which the opposition converted into 26 points.
McKinlee Scammon (16 points), Paxton Aksamit (13 points) and Chaney Reish (12 points) were the leading scorers for the Lady Eagles, but they were unable to stop Natalie Speckner who scored 26 points and had 13 rebounds.
Tongue River (18-8) will play Sundance in the 2A 3rd Place game on Saturday, March 4th at 10:30am at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
