Sheridan and Big Horn were at the Casper Invitational, while Tongue River and Arvada-Clearmont played a number of home games this week.
Sheridan: On Friday at the Casper Invitational, the Lady Broncs were pooled with Cheyenne Central (lost 2-0…25-12, 25-22), Worland (lost…no score reported) and Kelly Walsh (lost 2-0…25-13, 25-9).
Sheridan was in the Silver Bracket on Saturday and they played Riverton (won 2-1…9-25, 25-19, 15-11) and 2A Big Horn (lost 25-10, 25-15).
The Lady Broncs are 6-15 overall and have an 0-3 record in the 4A East.
The next scheduled games are on Thursday, September 29th vs. Green River (at Casper), and then Friday and Saturday, September 30th and October 1st at Cheyenne Central and at Cheyenne East.
Big Horn: The defending 2A state champs started the week by visiting 2A northeast rival Tongue River and took care of business 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-15).
On Friday at the Casper Invitational, Big Horn was pooled with 4A Laramie (lost 2-0…25-12, 25-11), 4A Campbell County (lost 2-0…25-24, 25-6) and 4A Riverton (lost 2-1…25-23, 22-25, 15-9).
BH was in the Silver Bracket on Saturday and they played 4A Evanston (won 2-1…25-22, 16-25, 17-15), 4A Sheridan (won 2-0…25-10, 25-15) and 4A Rock Springs for the championship (won 2-0…25-12, 25-12).
The Lady Rams are 21-6 on the season, with a 2-0 record in the 2A Northeast.
The next scheduled games are on Friday, September 30th at home vs. 3A Moorcroft, and on Saturday, October 1st at home vs. Sundance.
Tongue River: The Lady Eagles did not have a good week playing at home vs. 2A Northeast opponents.
On Thursday, Tongue River lost home vs. Big Horn 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-15) and then on Friday lost home vs. Sundance 3-2 (12-25, 25-21, 25-23, 17-25, 15-8).
Saturday’s game home vs 3A Lovell was postponed to Monday, September 27th.
TR is now 10-8-2 on the season with an 0-2 record in the 2A Northeast.
The next scheduled games are on Monday, September 27th at home vs. Lovell, Friday, September 30th at home vs. Wright and Saturday, October 1st at 3A Moorcroft.
Arvada-Clearmont: The Lady Panthers played 2 games at home on Saturday, losing against Rock River 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-9) and then defeated Ten Sleep 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-19).
A-C is 2-6 on the season with a 1-3 record in the 1A Northeast.
The next scheduled games are on Tuesday, September 27th at home vs. Sheridan Sophomores, and Friday, September 30th at home vs. Upton.
