Jackie Sue Hadaway

On the morning of April 10th, Jackie Sue Hadaway left this earth.

She was preceded by her grandparents Carl and Madge Vining, Glenda Carter, Janice and William Hadaway, Dave Ahrens, and her sister Shy Anne.

She leaves behind grandparents Diane and Jacque Hand, Mike Carter, and Julie Ahrens; her mothers Susie Ahrens and Becky Hadaway; her fathers David Ahrens and Scott Hadaway; her sisters Taylor Hadaway, Emily Barrios, and Elesa Ahrens; her brothers Anthony Kurtz and Kayden Barrios; her niece Addie; and her nephews Maverick, Grayson, Collin, and Oliver.

Jackie was a brilliant light with a tender heart. She laughed with her whole soul, loved without condition, and carried more than any one person ever should have. She found beauty in unexpected places, shared pieces of herself through dance, art, and music, and left her mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.

She was fierce, funny, complicated, creative, and endlessly compassionate. We will miss her every day, but we will also carry her with us — in every act of kindness, in every moment of raw honesty, and in every sunset that reminds us she is still somehow here.

She was a fire and a lullaby, a protector and a dreamer, a survivor and a giver, even when she felt she had nothing left to give. Her story will be defined by the countless ways she lit up the lives around her.

Jax, you are deeply loved, unspeakably missed, and you will always be our shooting star.
