Funeral Services for Gerry Frisk, a 77-year-old long-time Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at her home Monday evening, will be held Friday, December 9th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Anne Knighten officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Willow Grove Cemetery. Donations in Gerry’s memory may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter at 109 Flatiron Dr. in Buffalo. Geraldine Frisk was born on October 22, 1945, in Dearborn, Michigan to John and Marjorie Kesot. She attended grade school in Roscommon, Michigan, and moved with her family to Cheboygan, Michigan. She graduated from Cheboygan High School with the class of 1964. After high school, she worked various jobs and waitressed at the White Pine Inn in White Pine Michigan where she met her future husband. She married James M. Frisk on October 24, 1968, in Bergland, Michigan, and made a home in White Pine, Michigan. In 1970 they moved to Denver, Colorado where Gerry worked at the Lang Ski Boot Company in Golden, Colorado. In 1974 they moved to Casper, Wyoming where she was a homemaker. In 1978 they moved to Buffalo, Wyoming where she worked various jobs and in 1981, they purchased Radio Shack (Frisk TV and Appliance). In 1986 they moved to Silverdale, Washington where she was the front desk manager at Port Ludlow Resort until 1994. Moving back to Buffalo, she worked at the Buffalo Prescription Shop. In 1998 they moved to Billings, Montana where she worked at the Billings Veterinarian Clinic, where she rescued a couple of dogs. After retiring in 2006 they moved back to Buffalo where she lived until her death. Gerry enjoyed listening to music. Her passion was spending time with her family and dogs. Gerry is survived by her husband Jim Frisk of Buffalo; one daughter Georgie Garland and her husband George of Buffalo; one son Shawn Frisk also of Buffalo; two sisters, Judith Kesot of California, and Janice Poyhonen of Tennessee; six grandkids, Bridger, Dana, AJ, Jared, Andrew, and Joe. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Dana Frisk and one sister Jean Smith.
