The Sheridan Community Land Trust has been awarded an accreditation from the Land Trust Alliance.

According to the Land Trust Alliance, the trust was founded in 1982. The Alliance is a national land conservation organization that works to preserve open spaces by strengthening land conservation across America. The organization represents 1,200 member land trusts supported by more than 5 million members nationwide.

The accreditation took more than three years to complete, according to SCLT Director of Marketing & Development Chris Vrba.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, SCLT Executive Director Brad Bauer told listeners what the accreditation means to Sheridan.
