In addition to the remaining Christmas Wish Funds, the Prairie Dog Community Church gifted an additional $500 to this effort. SCSD2 Assistant Superintendent Mitch Craft talked about how common school lunch debts are.

The announcement was made at a luncheon to thank the partners of the 2019 Christmas Wish Campaign. Those partners included Heartland Kubota, State Farm Agent Ann Gardner, First Federal Bank and Trust, Atlas Chiropractic, and BNSF. A recent study from the School Nutrition Association found that around 75% of districts have unpaid student meal debt.
