County Commission Responds to Fireworks Concerns

Concerns raised by a county resident over New Year’s Eve fireworks were discussed by the county commission, who drafted a letter in response explaining their position.
In the letter the commission said “although they understand and sympathize with the resident’s situation regarding pets and livestock, they strive to be cognizant of the majority view.”
The commission said the fireworks resolution was reviewed and changed in 2018.
They continued, saying it is a fine balance between freedom and regulating activities that may stress some others.
The board said they would not take any action to alter the current fireworks resolution, but will continue to listen to concerns from the public and act when it is appropriate.
