Casper Man Pleads Guilty to Production of Child Pornography

A Casper man recently changed his plea in Federal Court to charges of production of child pornography. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

United States Attorney for the District of Wyoming Bob Murray announced Wednesday that 33-year-old Daniel Hendricks of Casper pleaded guilty to four counts of production of child pornography. Hendricks appeared for a change of plea hearing earlier this month before Chief United States Judge Scott W. Skavdahl. Hendricks will be sentenced for the crimes on April 7.

According to the Department of Justice, Hendricks faces 15 to 120 years in prison. He could also be ordered to pay a $5,000 special assessment pursuant to the Victims of Sex Trafficking Act of 2015 and up to $50,000 in special assessments, and mandatory restitution of not less than $3,000 per requesting victim pursuant to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act of 2018. The crime was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations.
