Commission seeking new member for Fair Board

The Sheridan County Board of County Commissioners is currently taking applications for an open position on the Sheridan County Fair Board.

According to the county website, the purpose of the Sheridan County Fair Board is to economically develop, maintain and manage the fairground facilities for the benefit of the public which are safe, convenient, and provide diverse educational and recreational opportunities in an attractive environment. Further, it is the board’s mission and responsibility to produce and manage an annual county fair for the benefit of the citizens and to promote the achievements of young people engaged in 4-H and FFA activities.

While appearing on Sheridan Meida’s Public Pulse, Sheridan Commission Chair Nick Siddle commented on the voluntary boards with open positions in the county.

The commission is also looking for interested parties to fill two positions on the Predator Management District of Sheridan County. 

The Fair Board appointment for the position will run from Jan. 3, 2022, to Jan. 1, 2025.

Applications and Cover Letters for the Fair Board position will be accepted through Nov. 12, 2021, at 5 p.m.
