The Johnson County Commission has approved a request from the County Cemetery District to allow them to add their employees to the county’s health insurance plan.

Cemetery District board member Carolyn Fox spoke to the commission about the request.

Fox said the district board and employees had looked at the plans side-by-side and had decided that the county’s plan would be of more benefit to the employees.

Costs of the employee health plan will continue to be borne by the cemetery district.

The commission passed Resolution No. 670, allowing the district to add their employees to the county’s health insurance plan.
