Sheridan Woman Changes Plea in District Court

A Change of Plea Hearing was held Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for Stormy Redman, who is charged with distributing methamphetamine in the Sheridan area. Pursuant to terms of a plea agreement reached with the State, Redman pleaded “guilty” to the charges of Delivery of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine. In exchange for the guilty pleas, the State is recommending that a third charge of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine, be dismissed.
The State is recommending a sentence of 4 to 6 years in prison for the felony charge, suspended, in lieu of a split sentence of up to 120 days in jail and three years of supervised probation, and 90 days in jail on the misdemeanor charge, which will run concurrent to the sentence for the felony. District Court Judge John Fenn ordered that a presentence investigation be completed and set the sentencing date for February 13 at 9:30 am.
