Opportunities For Veterans and Community Employers

The Sheridan V.A. and local community partners are teaming up to provide veterans with employment after receiving treatment through one of several programs offered by the V.A. here in Sheridan. Or maybe you are a veteran looking to gain meaningful employment here locally and aren’t sure what your options are? Whatever the case may be, Vocational Rehabilitation thru the V.A. offers many opportunities to veterans as well as employers who are wanting to hire veterans. Vocational Rehabilitation wants the community to know that they are here and ready to assist employers with training and support for mental health issues veterans may bring into the workplace. Jason Kaufman, who works as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist at the Sheridan V.A. has this message for employers.
Sheridan’s V.A. is the most capable and experienced when it comes to mental health and behavior disorders treatment. A veteran can be treated and put on the path to recovery and stability. Also, employers can be trained and supported by the V.A. to help our veterans reintegrate into the community. Kaufman added.
To learn more or to find out if you’re eligible for this program contact the V.A. and ask to be directed to Vocational Rehabilitation.
