A trial date has been set for early 2022 for a woman charged with three counts of drug possession. At an arraignment hearing Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan, 42-year-old Lyndi Crippen pleaded “not guilty” to Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine; Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine and Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance- Alprazolam.

District Court Judge John Fenn scheduled a number two stack three-day jury trial to begin on January 3, 2022 and set the pretrial conference for December 2 at 9:30 am. The number two stack means there is one other jury trial scheduled on the same date that would take precedence as it is the number one stack trial. Crippen’s bond was modified to allow her to travel a short distance for employment. A condition of Crippen’s bond that was initially set in Circuit Court is that she not leave Sheridan County and must wear an ankle monitor through a bail bonds company. The bond modification will allow her to travel to Johnson County for work.  If convicted on all three counts, Crippen faces up to 9 years in prison and fines of up to $17,000.
