Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council will convene for a special meeting Monday night, where following a public hearing, the Council will consider the budget for the fiscal year that begins on July 1 in the form of a resolution. Prior to the public hearing and consideration of the budget resolution, the Council will be addressing budget amendment #3, which would discontinue the proposed pond project at Malcolm Wallop Park, and reallocate the funds towards Blacktooth Park.
The Council, at their latest business meeting elected to table the budget amendment and address the issue at Monday’s special meeting. City Councilman Steve Brantz spoke in favor of the budget amendment to reallocate the funds to Blacktooth Park at the Council’s most recent meeting.
The Council will also be considering acceptance of American Rescue Plan Act funding and the terms and conditions that come along with the $2.739 million the City is eligible to receive. The Special Council meeting, which is open to the public, will take place Monday at 5:30 pm at Sheridan City Hall in Council Chambers.
