Aaron PalmerThe first wildfires of the season have popped up in Johnson County in the last few days.
The first fire is in Robinson Canyon, a few miles south of Crazy woman Canyon on the east slope of the Bighorns.
According to residents in the area, the fire is estimated to be somewhere between 20 and 40 acres in rough terrain on Bureau of Land Management and state-owned lands.
Air support has been called in on the fire, which is believed to have been caused by lightning.
There is also a report of a fire in the Murphy Creek area south of Kaycee.
We will have more information on these fires as it is released.
