Annual Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby This Weekend
The 37th annual Buffalo Lions Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby will be happening this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with cash and prizes available for lucky anglers to win.
Over $50,000 in prizes are up for grabs including tagged fish worth cash ranging from $100 up to $3,000 as well as daily grand prizes of a getaway to Wind River Casino and $500 in cash, and the overall grand prize of a 2020 Kymco ATV.
Daily prizes and drawings will be awarded as well.
Tickets must be purchased to participate in the derby, and are available in daily or three-day event tickets, and are available in Buffalo at Wa-Hoo Likkers, Sports Lure, Ultimate Outdoors, Crazy Woman Liquors, and at the Lake Stop.
In Sheridan and Gillette tickets are available at Rocky Mountain Discount Sports.
Tickets can also be purchased at the Lions Club Derby Headquarters at the Mikesell-Potts Recreation Area at Lake DeSmet.
