Aaron PalmerAlthough there are few cases currently, COVID-19 is still present in Johnson County, according to the Johnson County COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center, that sent out a release Tuesday.
In the release, it was reported that is currently one active case of the virus in the county.
Residents are urged to continue masking, social distancing, and observe proper hand hygiene to avoid spreading COVID-19 in the community.
Those who feel they may have symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to see healthcare providers in the community for testing.
The EOC also wanted to remind the public that side effects are expected after the Moderna vaccination. It is the body’s way of building immunity to COVID-19.
Those getting the vaccine should bring their insurance card and ID to their appointment. There is no charge to the patient for the vaccination, but the provider may bill insurance for the administration fee of the vaccine.
