The Wyoming Department of Health Wednesday confirmed twelve additional coronavirus-related deaths among Wyoming residents who had tested positive for COVID-19. The Department of Health has announced 18 deaths related to COVID-19 in the past 48 hours.

The deaths included an older adult man and woman from Big Horn County; and older adult man from Albany County; and older adult man from Converse County; and older adult man from Campbell County; and older adult man and woman from Fremont County; an older adult woman from Laramie County; and older adult man from Natrona County; an older adult man from Platte County, and two men, an adult, and an older adult, from Sweetwater County.

The Department of Health states that deaths among Wyoming residents are added to the state’s coronavirus-related death total based on official death certificate information. If death certificates do not describe COVID-19 as either causing or contributing to a person’s death, those deaths are not included in Wyoming’s count of coronavirus-related deaths. As of Wednesday evening, among Wyoming residents, there have now been 105 coronavirus-related deaths confirmed, 12,675 lab-confirmed cases and 2,369 probable cases reported since the pandemic began.
