Sheridan Memorial Hospital again this year is seeking a design from Sheridan County children for the hospital’s 2020 Christmas card.

Students in third through fifth grades in Sheridan County are invited to submit their card designs through Nov. 24.

The students’ artwork will be judged by a committee, and the winning design will be used on the card sent out in December this year. The winner will receive a $50 cash prize, and his or her name will be printed on the back side of the card.

All entries will be displayed in the windows at the hospital’s downtown offices at 61 South Gould Street throughout the Christmas season.

The contest is open to any third, fourth or fifth grade student in Sheridan County and children of Memorial Hospital staff who live outside the county.

Artwork must reflect the theme of the hospital’s 2020 Christmas card, which is “Prayers to Healthcare Workers.” Artwork should be in color, and the work must fit into the box outlined on page two of the entry form. The work should not be folded.

The artwork must be an original creation of the child, and not mechanically or electronically generated.

The child’s name should be neatly printed on the back side of the card and should not appear on the front of the card. The entry form signed by the child’s parent or guardian must be closed with the artwork. Only one entry will be accepted per child.

More information, and the entry form, can be found on the hospital’s website, sheridanhospital.org. Search for “Christmas Card Art Contest.” Entry forms can be dropped off or mailed to the hospital’s downtown location at 61 South Gould, Sheridan, WY 82801.
